i'm going blind!

1: are those wastegates coming out the fender still?
2: is that rug treated with anything to be oil resistant? all my wool stuff soaks up oil like crazy.

1.  Yes the gates still come out the fender but we added some cool flex bellows so as to avoid breaking the wastegate (already did that once)

2.  I don't put the engine area over the rug.  Its a POS anyway so no real worries on that front.

Yeah I'm driving forum fest.  Haven't driven pacific raceways since 2006.  Was always in ak.

Leaning towards driving the s14 at forum fest but heard they may not require cages so I'm considering bringing the 180 out of storage.

I like it.  Its isn't uncontrollable by any means and as long as you can keep it consistent then its good.

Things to consider:

1.  I have a built bottom end on my 2J.  Pistons, rods, balanced crank, race bearings, ATI damper.  So I new that my engine could handle it.  Jason from PSI told me the only time he has ever seen a 2J really grenade was when they were on nitrous.  But thats big turbos with people trying to shoot a 150-200 shot at 2K rpms.

2.  I had it immediately tuned for the nitrous.  Dont use a WOT switch.  Its run completely off the AEM.

3.  I'm using a bottle heater to regulate temps.  We noticed a 40 squirrels difference on the dyno when we actually heated the bottle to the proper temp.

But in the end its pretty safe if you keep it within reason and don't spray for the moon.  Cheap squirrels and it does help with spool.  I really didn't have a huge problem with spool as  I run a small A/R but it still takes out that dead spot if you know what I mean.

I put nitrous on my car right before FD Palm Beach. Same kinda setup, where it comes on for spool and then shuts off. It's controlled by the ecu, but I'm running a wet kit because that was all we had time to do. It's awesome. WISH I would've had it for the first 2 rounds!

Man, all this nitrous talk is exciting. Thought a setup like this was only for drag racing.

How much does it cost to fill up a 10 lb. bottle?
