Let me send a email to my hommie in japan and see what he can get.  I know he dosent have any color info for PPG it just not in his area.  But the sikkins or standox is doable.  I have a standox system and have yet to find a color I cannot match.

All you need is the mix sheet.  The toners are all the same anywhere in the world.  If by chance there is a weird one they can still get it in the states but I doubt it the color is a pearl color there is no chameleon shit in it.

If interested, Coast Airbrush in Anaheim carries House of Kolor, Alsa Corp, and some other paints. They have this stuff in stock.

come on now... an original colour
let us review basic colour

ROYGBIV + Shades (Black n White) n metallics (Silver, Bronze n Gold)

pick one and the bazillion shades of it, or all... like chamelion and rainbows...

u cant really do much original these days
cause sicne the lowrider scene has been around for ages they've done all concoctions

my plan is to do the test panels of the midnight purple and the various variations and see what i like

all it is is a paint code, u get the code, buy the paint, everything is for sale here man.

you can buy it premixed and everytime i read a thred on paint on here thats all that comes to mind

we use standox at my work, and i looked up LV2 today, factory nissan colour, cause LV4 is actually a commerical vehicle yellow i think it was, anyways... the LV2 was a light purple and has formulas for the waterbased paints (cali has been experimenting with these apparently to lower the VOCs let loose into the atmosphere from painting) and they have the regualr base coat, basislack.

ill get them made up eventually when the boss isnt around and see if i can take some pics, my painter at work did a variation on the TV2 to see how mcuh darker more tinted clear would affect it, and there was none at all.

OEM nissan colours on that R34 are quite intriquing biggrin

rofl

So you're saying that all i need is a code and anything is possible?

Welcome to page 1. I have the code: LX0. I don't have the paint. In fact, 2 of the best paint guys are the board are having problems finding the paint, or at leasting finding out how to mix it.

So yeah, i agree that if you have the code, its easier to find your colour, but only versus saying "well i want a ferrari red." Especially when we're talking about a paint that was offered for 3 months, on 198 cars only in japan, only in the year 2000.

So i'm sorry, i failed where you mentioned the DuPont or PPG mixing ratios for LX0.......

chameleon is so 2003. why do you want to be a socal wigger

i like ferrari red
the yellow on older audi a4s
and the newer saab 93 metallic-y greeny color

those are my suggestions. and just add pearl/flake until you have custom dj 99 mix

More of this colour... It doesn't flop too much it seems....

I'm so confused. Like a Chior Boy. There are a ton of colours I would love to paint the FC, but I gotta live with it for a while, and i don't wanna do something that i'll outgrow liking...

well like Lorin king of the world said earlier in the thread i can get the standox paint code as well

if u want that i can write it down for you
at least ull have an idea of what colours go into it, mind u that means nothing unless ur using standox paint

i know u have the code duh

what i gathered was they cant find that prizm for sale
which by ur last comment u said u didnt want the million colour effect... which is what that does.

im assuming that prizm effect goes into the clear

now im lost as to what u want from that purple?
we all know theres lots of variations of that colour and how u mix it etc.

fuck im lost

doenst matter if it was for 3 motnhs or whatever, if it has a code u find the products... but i see like they say its hard to find that one piece to the puzzle

ill look it up tomorrow and see what standox has to say
but if u just wnat PPG then that can limit ur options with what products are available

ya ya ya ya ya ya ya laugh more yippie!  rofl

White what the fuck is wrong with fucking white.

My next mad scientist death mix is going to be white base with micro silver flake or the abalony flake.

WHAT EVER YOU CHOOSE  Remenber this

WHen you wreck it and you will its just natural you should pick a color and mix more than you need as well as a color that will be easy to repair.  This is why most of us decal a car insted of painting in the grafics.  4 or 5 days redoing some cozmic grafic detail will suck and your car will look like ass at an event with a big primer spot.

Im standing in the middle of the stand so I dont have my tech info with me to tell you whats in that GTR color.  If it is a prisom effect color is it worth it.  WHat im saying is the paint could end up costing more than the car.  I have had a few customers like that then low and behold they crash it and want a maco repair.

I did a candie orange paint job on a fucking integra the whole job cost him 4500.  I did the regular candie with 5 coats of orange flake.  The car popped hard in the sun but when he wreked it the insurance co was hesitant to pay for the repair.  Along with that anywhere he took it for a estimate the shops said I was the only one who could blend it.

I have been very lucky repairing candies, candy flake and weird perals for these guys.  Some times I loos my mind getting the right shades to.  I did a candy repair on a gs the color wasnt a straight candy but a kosmic candy mixed into some shit clear.  There was no way to ajust for the sun fade so I actualy had to mix regular candy and two shades of it just to get a color I could blend.

Now if its baller your looking for check the special colors by standox, spies hekler, sikkens, and so forth.  They are not straight chamelian but shift from one side of the spectrim to its neighbor.  say green to blue, red to orange, and Standox has this diamond looking shit thats fucking 50 cent sweet.  Its not a peral or flake but looks like diamonds on you whip.

If you realy wanna fuck with people why not a glow in the dark color.  pick a color then pick a decal that matches it so that in the day light you get one scheem and at night you get the reverse glowing.

ALA TRON

I dont know get me high and get me there and I could fuck with it and peoples minds.  latly I have fallen out of the box and have been looking at nature for shocking paint schems.

If you look at how nature hac colored shit like bugs and stuff to scare the shit out of you ( spiders beetles and the things that go bump in the night) you can come up with some cool shit.  In japan we have color shift beetles and some scary ass colored spidrs that would make most men screem like a school girl if it was ever on them.

3 freeking pages of this crap. i just did a simple google search and found this:
http://www.refinish.jp/dupont/color/special/nissan/lx0.pdf
It's almost the same as posted in the other page, but stright fromt he rhino's mouth. It's two colors that makes up LX0.
now someone translate it for me. I'm going to paint my car this color muahahaha!
500 bucks for a gallon of dupont chromabase is about right. I never pay for paint, for all i know. my dad steals it from work LOL.

edit: this might help too:
http://www.performancecoatings.dupont.com/dpc/en/us/html/prodinfo/daf/GENERIC_CROSS_REFERENCE_SORTED_Jan2006.pdf

Edit2: it's dupont ChromaLusion. That's why you only see the blue and purple in the paint. that's the two main color. it sits on top of a black base coat.
Everything you want to know about this paint is in this link: http://www.performancecoatings.dupont.com/bowstreet5/dpc/en/us/html/color/daf/doc/colorinfo_chromalusion.html
there's a manual too. This is what that r34 is painted with. Just translate that pdf file up top, go to dupont and tell them you want chromalusion in those paint color. that's it!
Lindsay_Ross, You have the answer on the first page, just didnt know what to do with it
