Fuck ya! I'm in the final steps of getting gold car up and running from the winter. I'm planning on participating in the MDU series this year and the No Star Bash. I can't wait to see some of you guys again. Drift, drink, and have fun. I'm tired of driving my truck all of the time.

I wrote a gold car/year write up on my super sweet website, you should check it out www.jakematuren.com. I need to work on it alot more, but my time has been focused on other, more fun, shit.

During the winter build I spent all my time fixing problems and potential problems. Chris Conley and I all worked on gold car over the winter and we modified the front end suspension to withstand more thrashing, built bolt on fender braces out of aluminum square stock, upgraded IC piping to ensure no air leaks (ever!), and strapped a heatshield in place. So, I'm happy with where the car sits and I'm investing time and effort right now to minimize any little problem that could pop up on the track. I hope to be in a comfortable financial spot by mid season to get a real roll rage.

New pics.

Here's what it's like to be in the driver's seat

The dreaded automatic brake pedal problem is fixed

Wiring status inside the trunk

The front of the motor shot

Playing around with ideas for the cold piping at the moment.

AN bung needs to go on there somehow.

And Chris's car.

Yea why did you mod it like that? You can just cut both sides to fit it normal

just cutting the left side off the clear the clutch pedal is more than enough, and it keeps your brake pedal at a sweet distance from the gas pedal.

also, you know that it's only, like, 5 bolts to replace the assembly with one from a manual, right?

I moved the plate over and kept the bracket near the clutch because I was used it.

Gold car started out as a automatic. So after measuring and taking my sweet time to cut the pedal, I realize I only had about 1/8 inch of room between the brake and clutch pedal. I ended up with a grand canyon valley between the brake and accel pedal making it damn near impossible to heal-toe.

I like the positions of the pedals right now, I think they'll help with my footwork alot.

I always just cut down the auto pedal to fit the manual rubber piece. Mine never looks like that though maybe I'm doing it wrong.
