^ lol

drove it for the first time since sept yesterday. What a great feeling. The power is amazing on only 8psi. Was dead even with a brand spankin new 135i, so it should be somewhere in the 280whp range, as those come from the factory at 300. Can't wait to tune...

One thing is strange, when the car is warm, and is shut down, it wont start, acting like its flooded due to a leaky injector. We pulled the fuel rail - no leaks at all. Fires right up first try when its cold.

Temp remedy - put a switch inline to the fuel pump to shut the car down and or turn on and off while the car is starting rx7 style.

Any ideas?

drive it...

decided my front bumper was one time use.

and some vids

went from this

First 4 laps are just running the course quickly to get a feel, and warming up the tires. Then, all 94 horsepower of the SOHC KA is released. Well as much as it can be anyhow. Sure was a fun day :)
to this

This is literally the worst thing you could do.

Dan youve come such a long way! I remember when you firs bought that car and did your first event. Hopefully we will make it down soon. I miss your dogs eating my burgers and your disgusting floor.

That track doesn't look very wide. How wide is it? Cause I noticed some guys were chokin' the brake instead of clutch kickin.

Car needs a naughty skirt on it and then it won't look so racer-ish.

track is pretty damn narrow... And the turns are extra drawn out, but it is a fun challenge nonetheless.

That was the cars first time out, and my first time drifting with power (coming from an SOHC KA). I knew I was gonna head off into the desert so i decided against the skirts for now. I should have decided against the bumper, as I destroyed it on my 2nd to last lap.

The alignment sucked (broke a ruca the night before and just welded it. Probably running 4 degrees of neg camber on the pass side), No catch can and oil was going everywhere, Shitty BFGoodrich all seasons up front, kept overheating and running rich as eff.

All in all it was one of the best days drifting I have had so far. New tires, new bumper, a few minor tweaks and another rad fan and it will be rock solid.
