I've watched Days of Thunder like 3 times since seeing your thread.  Car looks much better with the wheels painted, but still get rid of em.

soooo I bought this

Should be here in about a week or so. vvti 1jz front sump with extended shifter r154. CA is FINALLY going away. cant wait to have a solid platform and some power to fucking work with. I always held my own with my CA but it still held me back bad. This setup will allow me to simplify my life as well and keep operating costs down. No more race gas and no crazy 8 qt(accusump) redline oil changes after each event. Also, pump gas means I'll be street driving the shit out of this car next summer.

Since I don't want this to turn into a 2 year build the plan is to keep it simple as possible and get it running in the car and start testing. Shooting for 300 - 350 wheel and go from there. Considering this setup stock will be about 100 ft-lbs more in stock form than I had I'm pretty happy.

Other plans for the car are to just improve a little on what I already have. Car treated me really well this year with very little issue. Really its just take it all apart, clean, reassemble and install BCL wing when it arrives. Going to do my best to document all of it this winter.

some pics from my last event at PARC a few weekends back.

Tryin to move forward. Not back. E30 held me back as much as the CA did. I enjoy driving this anyday at the track over the E30

e30 ain't holdin' no one back.  BMW chassis are cake to setup - see Denofa's whips (e46 stuff goes on E30s).

Yeah, I was ultra impressed with the speed of his e36, and it was a real basic setup. I look at it this way, for a car you build REAL basic, the 240/fc etc is gonna be good, once you start really getting a car setup, the bmw shit is pretty rad.

E36's have a great rear end setup, can make plenty of grip..  But non of that stuff really "fits" to an E30?  I mean, the front end will bolt up and sit right if you have  E36 M3 Evo everything, inculding hubs..  But the rear end is totally different.

E30's will always be coolest though.

Without modifying a subframe in an e30 have you ever tried to put a decent alignment on the rear? And got it to hold and not adjust itself? Your right e46 stuff does go on the front but you cant just toss in e46 subframes in the rear. E30 semi trailing arm setup sucks for drifting and did nothing but fight me. For my goals which is to compete in formula d I need a car that does not require aome crazy bull shit modification to have decent tire wear an rear traction. E36 and e46 can be a good setup as shown by denofa but the rear suspension is actually adjustable with links and not some eccentric bushings
