Bringing it back to how it should be.

All events will be at sandia motorspeedway in albuquerque. If you think you can make it hit me up via PM...

We will be having 5 events this year instead of 8 in order to keep attendance up. Towards the end of the season we noticed a small drop off in auto-x attendance and we plan on making some small changes to ensure an excellent experience at both drifting and auto-x. The dates for next year are as follows:

Pricing is 50 for auto x, 60 for drifting, 10 extra for the drift comp, or 70 for both drifting and auto x.

March 7th from 11 - 5
April 11th from 9 - 3
June 27th from 9-3
Aug. 8th from 9-3
Oct. 11th from 9-3

Auto-x: We will have chalk marking each location for cones to make sure there is more accuracy in the course. We will have all day events so there will be no more worries about it getting dark and hard to see the track. We will try and get more corner workers for more help to upkeep the track. Since the drifters will not need the oval, we can have a portion of the oval as the track to make roughly 1 minute laps. We are also working on a better way to display your times rather than having to look at the laptop. We will continue to have a split time as well as a final time for the timed runs.

Drifting: We will be having a points series for you guys this year so it will be critical to make all 5 events. We are working on sponsors right now to figure out some prizes for the winner and hopefully even some runner ups. More on that later as we get sponsors. We are still working on the judging portion as well (as far as who will be judges). We will also be looking for another good source for used tires and having a tire changer. We are still looking into the purchase of a tire changer & air compressor, we'll see. A radar gun will be used for speed to help the judges see speeds of the cars.

Now here's the bitchin part: For the points series, everyone participating will throw in $10 into the pot to enter. First place will get most of the pot, with 2nd and 3rd getting a piece of the pie. It is not mandatory to enter, but you will not get as much track time if you do not enter. The pot will be split up at each individual event, not a running pot over the 5 events. This means 1st place could actually walk away with more than they spent to enter for the entire day. fuck yes.

Track time on the cheap, and you could end up getting paid for it.

Dans house rules.

His dogs will eat your burgers, and his burgers are DELICIOUS.

Then you can play Neo Geo.

Still got that Dan? I want to buy it.

lol

sold the neo geo cj - im poor.

event was a blast, my car wasnt done in time so i rode with people instead, chirped a few broadies in the STi then went home.

drift comp was awesome. 10 dollar buy in.

first place went home with 100 bucks and a fail clothing shirt, 2nd got 25 and 3rd got 15.

you had one chance to get a good run to make it to the next round. If you spun your first round, you were out. If you were feeling froggy, you could throw another 5 in the pot to buy back in. The top score after 3 rounds was the winner.
