Edit: After looking through some of your past posts, it looks like you can tell me whether my thinking made any sense! I'd like to hear your input..

yeah you're right in thinking that it won't act as an exit, at least at very high speeds. but i'd bet $20 that little vent contributes less than 1% of your cooling efficiency. regular passenger car radiator airflow is so shitty and messy. and at any yaw angle during drifting that changes a huge amount.
i think the better logic is that the chicken wire looks like shit, therefore it must be covered.

Actually Nate is going into the paint store with this:

and asking them to match whatever egg he picks out.

Hah, I like how that pic is from your vegetarian organic blog. biggrin I like the patchy light orange, but with the heart from the red one! Didn't you want to do the one with the sun?

Really clean work!
I can't imagine how many hours you have in that thing.

Yeah, it's actually pretty retarded for a drift car honestly. Oh well, I just got really sick of having shitty paint and dirty/greasy everything. So it will at least be nice... once.

is that dmax1? looks really great!

Yeah, fitment was pretty good. This is my first body kit, so I'm not sure what 'normal' is though. I had to trim out the back of the front bumper for the headlights, the rear of the sideskirts I had to cut out ~1/4" for them to fit tight, and the rear bumper needed to be lengthened ~1/4" to fit.

..

Planning on it!

..I think the better logic is that the chicken wire looks like shit, therefore it must be covered.

Thanks! Yeah, I probably wouldn't have gone through the trouble if it was a nice looking vent..

Thanks for the compliments guys, I should have a color pic to post by Saturday. I'm pumped about finally getting this thing all together!

Paint!!!

It's a very deep purple with bright blue pearl in a mid coat. The color really changes with lighting, and is tricky to capture with a camera. If you use a flash it turns completely blue and you don't see any purple. But it generally looks mainly dark purple until it's in the sun. Then the blue pearl really pops and sparkles. For some reason it looks more blue than purple in most of the pictures even when I didn't use a flash. It looks amazing in person!

This is with a halogen light pointing up at the back of the car.

Unfortunately my only sun picture is with my cell.

Now I just need to get some windows in it and put it all together!

Car is finally driving.. had a bunch of stupid issues on the way but most are solved now. Right now I still need to bleed the coolant more and take care of a few small things. Immediate plans are different wheels, stiffer springs, lower it, and get an alignment. I only have a couple weeks before I head to Holland, and the day I get home I am packing up for All Star Bash! So I need to get everything sorted right now..

I don't have access to the better pictures right now.. but here are some cell pics from it's maiden (and muddy) voyage.
