rpf1's are a step in the wrong direction
that's a bn kit, right?
you need something 18xawesome and shiny
potential for glory is there, just make it happen
Sorry, I like it and I'm not putting expensive 25+ lb wheels on there. VS-KFs look good on other cars but it's just not for me. I was actually looking at the Enkei GTC01 but it only comes in a painted silver and is ~21 lbs. I'm a cheap bastard and I like light wheels. RPF1s are not the best looking wheel around, but at ~16 lbs they can't be beat for the price. The kit is actually the least aggressive Dmax kit (V1).

Droop the rear springs. I know how WA roads are and if you drive it on the street with the front hitting everything.
Get it just a little lower. In the right direction but still a bit more.
Be safe in Holland.
Also I do like the look of the car with RPF-1s. Much better than the MB's
VSKFs would be rad but yeah they are boat anchors.

Don't mind the RPF1's, but the Volk RE30's would keep the same style and be less common... or Weds SA-70's would look kinda good on there to me. Both can have decent concave face going on. Cheap no, light yes.
Also better taillights (all red? fuck reverse! yeahhhh) and maybe some brick headlights...
Other than that car looks pretty cool man.

Agreed, there are plenty of light and better looking wheels.. I just can't bring myself to cough up that much dough for wheels. I'll get the tail lights on before ASB, but when I get back I have one day to get the car on the trailer and packed up. I also need to get the boost controller installed and make some radiator/intercooler ducting. Here in Holland I've already gone karting once, there is an awesome track here that has multiple levels and a big banked turn. I'm also only two hours from the Nurburgring, so I'll definitely be heading out there. Now I just have to cross my fingers and hope I got all the kinks worked out on the car for ASB. My only shakedown was ~500 miles of street driving and a little bit of street drifting. Thanks for the input guys! Edit: I really like how my Lexan quarter windows came out, not all that obvious. I put in Lexan because I broke one of the glass ones pulling it out and of course for the enormous 5oz weight savings!

I just brought my surviving glass into TAP plastics and they routered a couple out of UV resistant Lexan for me. I think it was somewhere around $50 for both. Then I drilled the holes, painted the backside edge/bolts black, and sealed it in with some window sealant that doesn't set up. I forget what it's called.

It's been a long time since I've made an update and the car has seen a lot of events since then. Evergreen, PGP, Portland, PARC, Thunderhill, Streets of Willow, and Horsethief again. Nothing has really changed on the car, I've been enjoying beating on the car and just changing the oil. Here's my most recent video from Portland..
