seriously. the guys are awesome. just build a jig for where the header CAN'T go, and they will make one that fits. i had them do it for a caterham turbo manifold on a kit i produced and their shit turned out really nice with quick turn around and fair price.

i prefer spd over burns. quality is the same but pricing is way better and the customer service is much better as well.

Burns mufflers come from a company named coast fab, they're not much cheaper but you can get a lot more sizes off the shelf.

and stainlesssteelheaders.com sucks.

They were trying to have them do the GTR headers while I was at Boost Logic, they don't clean the bends, they don't back purge, undercut welds, over heated, under heated offset and slash cut tubing. looked like 60 amps on the head flange to runners. It was literally a list of shit not to do on a manifold.

Worst manifold i've seen in person is the Kings Performance S2000 manifold. it seriously looks like they use like 2cfm of shielding flow.

same here. My old shop in sac was a few blocks away from SPD and i could just walk in and get stuff. That was nice.

after reading through this stuff i really want to get motivated on changing my manifold.

when i put the 2871 on my tomei manifold i had an over boosting problem, and to get the car done for ECB i sold that manifold and welded a external gate to my stock manifold.

i have no boosting problems but when drilling the hole for the wastegate I cut out the piece that separates the runners before the flange.
killed the flow of the manifold and sure i have turbulence issues before the turbo, and making this a bit laggy

While we're on the topic of stock manifolds w/ EWG(see above) vs tubular with an EWG added in.......why is everyone jumping on the stock manifold with EWG option and paying a shit load of money to have them honed/swain coated etc?  Why not just throw an ewg on a quality tubular manifold?

Those ice engine works guys are out of Austin. They're expensive. And if you're not doing prototype work and then sending them out it doesn't really pay off.
