Oh yeah, for that video I installed new plugs and was trying to figure out afterward why it was dieing, so I made sure there was continuity between the correct coils and injectors for the pins of the ECU, they're all good.... Not sure why its doing that?

No awesome progress recently other than the exhaust is finished and looks like it will work awesome. turns out Pez didn't disable VATS on my ECU, he did other things though like redo the tire size? stuff like that... But for some reason VATS was still enabled so I had to pay someone 100$ to take it off for me...   dong

Oh yeah, and I broke off the water temp sender adapter that I bought, so I drilled it out and tapped it for another size NPT and found an adapter at ACE that will work  :secret:
My crank pulley is bent, the runout on it is a shit ton, buying a new one tomorrow at the dealership because they're cheap and I haven't made any modifications to the engine, so I cant really justify buying an ATI or any of that fancy stuff   gay


My gauges are pretty awesome and I'm not sure why? I haven't dug into the wiring TOO far yet (looks right to me? The pics Pez provided... I dont even have those same connectors under my dash anywhere, they might have been pics of a 94?) Video of whats going on, I'll have to dig into it further haha

What kind of PS pump is it/do you use for this? FD or potato potato potato potato LSx?

Its an LS2 GTO PS pump, apparently they're different than the other F body ones and others.  I called Turn One to see about getting one of their units and they said its different and they dont have any plans to make them.  I went to Napa and O'Reileys, neither one has any GTO cores to rebuild unfortunately...


I'm getting a few codes from the engine, apparently Pez also did not remove the rear O2 sensors when my ECU was flashed (noticing a trend?) So I'll have to get someone to delete that for me sometime soon. The codes I'm getting are P0036, P0056 (the rear O2's) P0300 (multiple misfire - ??? Not sure, I pinned out the coil packs and injectors, they're all correct) P0503 (VSS Circuit intermittent - might have something to do with the cluster stuff)


Still having the gauge cluster problems and haven't spent much time sorting that out yet, wiring makes me want to blow my brains out so I may be avoiding that for a bit <3


Installed my Stance AL+ Pro coilovers on Saturday (Thanks Al!), they came out awesome and feel decent for the couple blocks I drove it while trying to get the ECU to throw a code so I could figure out the misfiring   owned

Also, the reason it wouldn't stay running is because the anti theft shit was still enabled in the ECU, I had to pay someone to remove it.

Pulled the plugs to see how they look, they actually look pretty good, #4 has some crap on it but that might just be a stuck ring or something.  I'm going to dump some seafoam in the tank and see if that helps or not, I'll probably put half a bottle in the engine too, just because I can  :punch:

Jesus I haven't updated this shit in a while, it runs GREAT now, I had to ground out one of the black wires from the relay pictured above, I found out it should have been grounded out somewhere else on the harness but wasn't for some fucking reason...

Here is a pic of the Y pipe section, I took it out to replace the output shaft seal about 2 weeks ago - it isn't artwork and doesn't fit 100% (John can I bring this shit down and have it fitted properly?) I found out the cat is completely blown out, I put it on a month ago but the car after-fires sometimes because of the exhaust leaks :D


I burned the shit out of my wrist on the header while I was swapping out the O2 sensors before getting it 'tuned'


This is prettymuch how it sits right now, I replaced the waterpump, idler, and tensioner a while after this pic


Since it has been running ok I have been bombing around in it whenever it isn't too hot outside, no reason to kill myself I drive the Tundra every day haha

My old roommate Alex decided after he saw how cool my FD isn't that he wanted one so we drove up to Oregon about 5 miles from my parents house and picked one up for him for 7K, he tossed in a brand new engine with new turbos, alt, starter, etc etc etc for 3k and has been driving it around a bit



Just before Gabe sold his Skyline it needed the suspension and brakes put back together so I took care of that a bit - custom coilovers, 280ZX brakes, RB26DETT, etc etc


Then it was time to hula-hoop

Yeah he did pretty well on it, it had a blown engine and the kid didn't know what he was doing haha

The interior is one of the best I've seen for an FD, pass door handle not broken and the door doesn't sound hollow like most of them AND its complete, even has the cargo cover.  It has less than 90K miles so I guess that helps

It has a boost controller, turbo timer, exhaust, coilovers, and some other misc stuff done to it

So I took the FD down to be pre tested for smog in CA - my rationale is that if it is somewhat close to passing in CA (from a tail pipe emissions standpoint) then it SHOULD in theory pass in Oregon whenever I go up there, as the limits are looser and I'll be able to have it legitimately street legal :D the completely blown out cat didn't help matters but the engine didn't blow that dirty



My buddy the tester said that if I had a working cat and some alcohol in it then it would most likely pass  dong
