This is prolly a super simple answer to this question, but...bought this sweetass Lincoln 180HD mig -

...but just realized my place doesn't have a 220 volt outlet (not even the washer/dryer). :'(

What's the cheapest/easiest way to get this puppy fired up so's I can start laying down some sssiiiccckkkk booger welds asap?

Planning on getting a bottle, mask, gloves, and all that...but I just wanna turn this bad boy on first...hopefully without burning my place down.

So you must have a gas washer/dryer. Is your stove gas too??
It most likely is.

I'm no electrician but....Your home sounds like it doesn't have a 240v/100amp service. Easiest solution is to buy/borrow a generator that can give you 220/240v and like 40amps.

i've never heard of distribution to home that isn't 220+  so if you don't want to or can't(say the previous owner built a wall infront of the electrical box) add a 220 circuit, i ran ~5a 220v device at a place with a wall built over the electrical box with two long extension cords, each going to a socket with one leg of the 220 distributed as the 110. with a motor rated switch on each phase by the device it worked fine. i dunno, i heard you're filipino, so don't let it be temporary-permanent cause it's more work than doing it right. you know, just if you have no other options.

120v services are not uncommon up here in massachusetts in old as fuck farmhouses and shit. Something to watch for when buying homes around here. Idk about anywhere else in the country but if you have all gas appliances i guess you dont really "need" 220v.

Like carbo said though....worst case scenario

Russ, buy a plug like this at homedepot or someshit. Like 40 or 50amps
Wire your welder powercord into it.

All of the shit in my apartment is electric...they're just all 110 outlets.

I've been looking at 110>220 step-up converters online...should I get renter's insurance while I'm at it, lol?

It's a house.

I rent a seperated 1bdr/1bath/1 car garage.

All the outlets are too small for my welder, and I want to weld shit.
