Yeah I replaced the upper strut mounts and bearings when I did everything else. I did all of it around 20k miles ago. They wear out about 4x faster than on any other car (like every rubber part on these damn things) so I suppose one or more of them could have taken a shit already.
There is no caster adjustability.
Also, unrelated. Turbo leaks about a grapefruit size shiny spot of oil on the under tray every oil change (4k). Have done like 3 oil changes now like this and its not getting worse. Should I dive into that before it gets worse? or just wait it out?
God I'm sick of working on this thing.

Did you replace those mounts and bearings with OEM volvo? We have a huge problem with any of our replacement strut mounts for the older cars and most of the newer ones from any of our suppliers.
OEM Volvo or bust. The others don't last worth a fuck.
And just let the damn thing leak. Way to much work for not enough benefit. If your turbo is leaking and its not one of the feed/ return lines (it happens), just fuck it until it gets much worse/ shits the bed.

Also, make sure that you mounted the mounts right. Again, I'm going off older RWD cars, but you could mount the upper mount forward/ rearward. It may seem simple, but essentially you can bolt them on no problem and have 3* caster difference side to side.
Also, check the lower stay rods. If they have ever been replaced, Volvo OEM supplied multiple lengths depending on the chassis. If you throw one on, possible to have 2 lengths. i.e. caster difference between the 2 wheels.

hmmm maybe I'll pull the struts and check the bearings and top hats when I check the ball joints and calipers.
I used aftermarket since OEM was 3x more.
Drove fine without this issue for the first 20k miles after I replaced all the stuff that's on there now.

Yea, OEM is mad money, but its the only shit we have found that lasts any time at all, besides going to aftermarket camber plates/ coilovers...

Yea for real that bushing/top hat deign sucks balls. I think I've replaced 6 on two 850s I've owned
my wifes 850 was so bad when we got it (both bushings fucked) that when you'd braked, if you held the wheel steady, the car would dart right or left, but if you let go of the wheel and braked, the car would track straight but the wheel would rotate.
work a pry bar against the top strut nut and the shock tower, if you can move the strut nut in the bushing at all, its prolly no bueno

Spring seats weren't it. Can't seem to find any play in the ball joints. no sticky caliper.
Did notice something though which is that it does this pulling under light braking only. If you get into it, it tracks straight.

Bushings all good in the front suspension as well??
Hows your upper motor mount? Not that that would cause this, but it definitely effects the car

Fucking LCA bushings were shot after 30k miles. New LCA's and we're all good to go... for the next 30k miles.

My VW had control arms as "wear items". Same w/ Audis of that era.
