are there any companys that sell a koguchi style hood yet?
or the vents? besides uras?

those would be better than some of those other one for sure.
need a larger selection of vents and hoods for the north america market

not a huge selection mostly those large clean vents
and they are no fun to look at.  No No No

ya i saw that, but 1100 is a lot for a hood and thats in yankee dollars too.
so im not gunna spend 1500 for a hood :P

thats why i want the vent to put in a oem frp hood thats cheaper.
i know it sounds cheap
but 1100 is a lot for a hood.  fail

yea well you dont gotta tell me, i think its absurd.  the vent glassed into an OEM frp hood would be the best bet IMO.  light, glass molds to glass better than glass to metal, still get the same look.

where did you find frp OEM hoods?  ive never seen one, but looked for a while.

haha havent found any yet.
tuff to come by, but shouldnt be impossible considering how many other oem style hoods there are out there.
last resort is carbon fiber and attach the frp piece to it.
i however do not like the weave
id prime and paint it to look like normal.

ill talk to my friend dave at garage5 here and see where he may know of to get oem style frp hoods. i havent checked VIS yet though, i hear they make good hoods for some reason.

ive been thinking about cutting up my metal hood for a lil project.
make the vents in the same shape as the koguchi style.

cut the fins, weld in some pieces of metal in the corners.
cut most of the sttructure shit out, get some hood pins.
do final grinding and putty
put some primer and paint and have a lil project underway.
